Do you think that Aron and I make a good gay couple?

Gay-Straight Allaince Senate write-in candidate Josh Guaya called his two opponents some nasty names at the debate Tuesday night. Regarding incumbent Republican Senator Anthony Macias, he said that the Senator is "batsh*t crazy" for his so-called conservative apporach to gay rights. This includes protecting and expanding the right to bear arms so that gay people can "shoot their way past the homophobic machine in the government". Mr. Macias also suggested that those who can't get a same-sex marriage should "make lemons out of lemonade" and get a domestic partnership for the time being. Regarding the Senator's boyfriend and Democratic Party challanger Aron Rodgers, he said that Mr. Rodgers is "so stupidly ignorant that I'm surprised he can tell his a*s from a hole in the ground." He is referring to a series of gaffes that the Democrat has made, like thinking voting Yes on Proposition 8 would have kept same-sex marriage legal, and how it became apparent that he did not know who Harvey Milk and Matthew Sheppard were, and that he also didn't know what the Stonewall riots were. The two major party candidates haven't really attacked each other, since it would most likely scar their relationship. Mr. Guaya is attacking them both as extreme and out-of-touch with gay voters.
