Sims 3 launcher wont work at all..?

it's not you it's the update that sims 3 has. when i first brought generations (on the release date) EVERYONE was having this problem the only bypass is to manually download the update which is on the sims 3 forums just search around for it. another way to bypass this is to go to your sims 3 generations folder and click on the sims 3 generations application file it'll automatically start your game up (not the launcher file).
