Sims 3 downloaded items don't show up in game?

I have a whole bunch of downloaded items that every time I go into the game i install them all, but they don't show up in the "Installed Content" tab and don't show up in the game. And every time I bring up the Sims 3 Launcher it shows them as not installed. How do I fix this??
