Has anyone thought about this scenario with the Minnesota Vikings?

The Vikings might have done the same thing the Packers did with Aaron Rodgers, although a little differently. Provided Ponder was a huge reach and Aaron Rodgers a slide this is the scenario. The Vikings drafted Ponder as their QB od the future, but plan on leaving him to.learn on the bench for a few years. Instead they're going to sign Donovan McNabb to play a few years until Ponder is ready to finally take control. I feel like this a likely scenario for them that no one.saw coming. It's probably not a great scenario once you think about it because they'll be wasting time of Peterson's prime and have to rebuild an aging defense, but they made the Ponder pick, so I wouldn't put anything behind them.
